(OLF News, January 13, 2010) Our correspondents reported that the protest of the Oromo people against the exploitation of mineral resources by Alamudi and Co orchestrated by the TPLF regime is still continuing in Guji and Borana zones of Oromia despite the propaganda given by the radio and TV controlled by the regime that the public protest and demonstrations are subdued. Our reporters added that the exploitation of minerals at Laga Dambii of Gujii zone have taken a new turn when 12 villages have been expelled from their homes and land for the new project is to be launched at Sakarroo initiating the local people and the students of the zone to express their stiff opposition through demonstration.
TPLF puppets such as Minase W’Giorgis aka Abbaa Duulaa Gammadaa are trying to divert the public grievance by pointing fingers to OLF saying that the protests are initiated by OLF. In a meeting that was called in Gujii zone which was led by Abbaa Duulaa Gammadaa the so called Oromia radio and TV which of course is the Woyane TPLF government’s mouth piece were seen changing the students requests and hiding what was really going on in the area.
