OLA Freedom Fighters Made Over 8 TPLF Troops Out of Action.

(OLF News, October 21, 2009): The hope and shield of the Oromo people, the Oromo Liberation Army (OLA), Eastern Command, reported that our gallant freedom fighters have put over 8 Wayyaanee [Ethiopian] invading troops out of action on October 11, 2009 in Eastern Oromia, Eastern Harargee Zone, in the district of Daaroo Labuu around Laga Waabee at a place called Malkaa Dullachaa, killing 5 enemy troops and wounding at least 3.

It is known that in this fighting the Wayyaanee troops are forced to escape from the area leaving their belongings. In this operation our freedom fighters have captured several automatic guns, hand grenades, and ammunitions from the enemy.

As has been their habit the Wayyaanee troops, angered by the heroic actions of OLA, have been terrorizing innocent civilians. Accordingly, they called a meeting in Daaroo Labuu, Hawwi Guddinaa county and asked the people to expose those whom they said are members of OLF and finally arrested more than 20 people without any evidence.  Among those who have been arrested are

  1. Jamaal Aliyyii Bulee,
  2. Awwal Usmaanii, and
  3. Kadir Abdulqayyum Elemoo.

It is to be recalled that OLF News has reported that on August 6, August  27, and July 11, 2009  that OLA fighters killed a total of 35 and wounded 19 others in Western Harargee zone.

OLA eastern command added that our freedom fighters will continue their attack on the invading Wayyaanee troops until liberation.
