(OLF News, January 1, 2009). Our correspondent from Finfinnee [Addis Ababa] reported that the TPLF controlled regime of Ethiopia continued to arrest Oromos in Finfinnee. Accordingly the following people are known to have been apprehended, taken to the notorious Maikelawi Mirmera prison, and tortured.
- Mr. Tolessa Wolde Sibilu (a legal Defence Lawyer/LLB, 65), arrested on December 25, 2008
- Mr. Mammo Lulessa (a teacher, 65), arrested on December 25, 2008
- Mr. Tamiru Qana’aa (a business man in Finfinnee), arrested on December 27, 2008
