The Continued Fascistic State Terrorism of the Meles Zenawi TPLF/EPRDF Regime on Oromo Refugees of Kenya Should be deplored by all

It has been reported that the TPLF/EPRDF killing squad has murdered two Oromo refugees residing in Nairobi, Kenya, Endalkachew Teshome and Endeshaw Teshome. Moreover, two other Oromos, Girma Teshome and Dadhi Reda and a member of Southern Nations and Nationalities, Meles Kembata have been seriously wounded by this cowardice act and have been admitted to the National Hospital of Kenya. It is known that Meles Kembata has later died from his wounds. Furthermore, the Association of Oromo Refugees in Kenya reported that Kenyan guards to the apartment complex in which the killing have taken place have been brutally murdered for trying to defend the refugees.

It has been confirmed that in the last two weeks alone more than ten refugees, most of which are Oromos, and four journalists have been murdered in Kenya by the Meles Zenawi killing squad. It has to be recalled that the OLF has reported the killing of Garoomaa Abdiisaa and other Oromos in Moyale town on September 4, 2007. In fact we have reported some of such disturbing killing profile of Oromo refugees in neighboring countries by the regime in Ethiopia during the last ten or so years.

Once again as usual OLF denounces such heinous killings of Oromos and other refugees in Kenya by the current TPLF led regime of Ethiopia in the strongest possible terms. It has been routine practice of such a low-level Woyane regime of Ethiopia to continuously target innocent civilians living in neighboring countries such as Kenya. OLF would like to underline that all peace loving governmental and non-governmental organizations and individuals should deplore such barbaric act perpetrated by crossing the border of neighboring countries.

We believe that the Kenyan Human Rights Commission, UNHCR-Kenya in particular, and all international human rights organizations should expose and denounce this cross-border state-terrorism of the Meles Zenawi regime. OLF would like to renew its call to the Kenyan authorities to stop being used by the TPLF/EPRDF regime in such heinous crimes.

The Oromo people in general and the OLF in particular realize that the continued killing of the Oromo refugees in Kenya can only be stopped by igniting the liberation struggle of the Oromo People and all oppressed peoples in Ethiopia.
